Welcome to the "A Zameer Pasha Gold Medal Exam" for the best final year postgraduate resident in General Surgery.

ASI Membership is a mandatory requirement to apply for this award. Those who are not a member yet, please apply at https://asiindia.org/member-application/

This examination are open for students undergoing postgraduation(MS/DNB) in General surgery in Institutes located in Tamilnadu.

Kindly note you should be a member of ASI before the annual conference TNASICON to receive the award. This is going to be selected by a two-stage competitive examination process.
•⁠ ⁠The first part of the exam will be online and will be held online on 10th April 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
•⁠ ⁠Six residents who score the highest marks will be chosen for the second round.
•⁠ ⁠The centre for final examination will be Government Thiruvannamalai Medical College which will be held on 16th May 2026.
•⁠ ⁠Please note. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by 12th May.
•⁠ ⁠The Final round will have one long case discussion(50 marks), two short case discussion(25 marks each), OSCE(50 marks, ward round(30 marks) and recent advances VIVA(20 marks).
•⁠ ⁠The winner will be the person who score the highest marks in the first and final round combined.
The Dr A Zameer Pasha Gold Medal and Cash award will be handed to the best candidate during the upcoming State Chapter meeting.

Please note non-compliance of the above requirements at whatever stage of selection process will be summarily rejected. The decision of the TNASI is final in this regard.
